1979 Spring-Summer Collection Christian Dior Paris gown. This dress features a black sleeveless silhouette, sheer ruffle neckline, and flared hem in lightweight fabric for an elegant evening or formal look. The gown is made in France and is numbered "011551". It attaches at the side with a metal zipper and a hook and eye above it. There is a snap on the top of both straps of the gown, likely there was an overlay to this dress originally. There is a slight condition issue with this piece, shown in the last photo. The inner lining has separated slightly from the zipper at the bottom of the zipper. The zipper is still functional and the gown can still be fully zipped and worn.
